A DAY DEDICATED TO HELPING OUR NEIGHBORS
On September 21, 2019, area citizens are invited to gather at the old cotton gin in Satartia for Flood Aid 2019. This year our community experienced what is now known as the Forgotten Backwater Flood. The impact of this flood has been immense and recovery efforts are underway.
The purpose of this event is to raise funds for those affected by the flood, raise awareness of the flood’s impact and raise spirits by expressing our love for our neighbors and our faith in God.
The Yazoo Long-Term Recovery Committee is sponsoring the event and it will be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Key features include a live & silent auction, wildlife & ag vendor booths, food booths, live music, a mass choir and citizen testimonials.
